Ajyal Film Club 2026 is a space for young people in Qatar to come together, watch powerful films and explore how cinema can shape the way we see the world.
Across six months, you’ll discover inspiring stories from around the globe, hear directly from filmmakers and industry professionals, and build your own creative voice through workshops and masterclasses. Whether you dream of making films or simply love watching and talking about them, Ajyal Film Club is your community, on and off the screen.
About Ajyal Film Club
Ajyal Film Club brings young cinephiles together to explore international cinema in a supportive, creative environment, from first frame to final credits and beyond.
Over six months (January–June 2026), members:
- Watch a curated selection of feature films and shorts on the big screen
- Take part in workshops and masterclasses that reveal what happens behind the camera
- Meet filmmakers and industry guests who share their journeys from idea to screen
- Connect with peers who share a love of storytelling and film
The programme is divided into three age-specific sections so that every member can learn, participate and find their voice in the story:
Member Sections
In Mohaq, our youngest members are encouraged to explore films in a playful and engaging way, one scene at a time. They will:
- Watch acclaimed feature-length films and short selections.
- Participate in creative activities that bring film themes to life.
- Meet internationally renowned guests from the film industry.
- Six sessions over six months, each lasting three hours.
Format: Six sessions over six months, each lasting 3 hours.
Hilal members are invited to look a little deeper at how films are made and why they move us. They will:
- Engage with interactive sessions on global cinema.
- Attend masterclasses on filmmaking techniques and film language.
- Learn how to craft your own stories through film.
- Six sessions over six months, each lasting four hours.
Format: Six sessions over six months, each lasting 4 hours.
Bader is designed for young adults who want to engage more seriously with cinema and storytelling, and start to imagine their own projects coming into focus. Members will:
- Deepen your knowledge of filmmaking through expert-led masterclasses.
- Explore advanced topics in storytelling, cinematography, and production.
- Collaborate with other aspiring filmmakers.
- Six sessions over six months, each lasting four hours.
Format: Six sessions over six months, each lasting 4 hours.

Thursdays, 4:00–7:00 PM
Saturdays, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Saturdays, 3:00–7:00 PM
All sessions will be hosted at the Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium, a setting that places cinema at the heart of Doha’s cultural landscape.
Please note: The venue is a nut-free zone. Nuts are not allowed inside the venue.
Open to locals and residents of Qatar aged 8 to 25
Participants will be assigned to Mohaq, Hilal or Bader based on their age at the first session of the programme
There is a one-time participation fee that covers the entire six-month programme:
- Standard Fee: 300 QAR
- Sibling Discount Fee (per person): 240 QAR

You will need:
- A portrait photo of yourself to upload
- A photo/scan of your Qatar ID
- If you are under 18, your parent/guardian will need to sign your online participation form digitally
