We welcome bold, original short films that reflect a strong creative vision and contribute to a meaningful cinematic dialogue—whether through narrative, documentary, or experimental form.

All submitted films must meet the criteria outlined in the Festival’s Rules and Regulations. Selected works will be considered for inclusion in the Festival’s official programme and may be eligible for jury awards.

Key Dates

• 18 May 2025: Festival submissions open — for short films only
• 10 August 2025: Submission deadline for International Short Film and Ajyal Short Film Competitions
• 1 September 2025: Submission deadline for Made in Qatar
• 20–28 November 2025: Doha Film Festival takes place
