With a background in communications and experience teaching young learners, she merges creative expression with education to spark curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking. Her teaching draws heavily from film techniques, using visual storytelling, sound design, and narrative structure to help students connect with language and ideas on a deeper level.
Fatima also brings her teaching skills into the film world, leading workshops that nurture imagination through unconventional methods, like her recent audio-based storytelling workshop, which encourages children to build narratives using only sound and a sensory strategy that activates all five senses. The workshop has been successfully applied both in school and with the Ajyal Film Club. Whether she’s guiding students through language learning or helping them find their voice, Fatima’s work is rooted in the belief that creativity is not just a talent—it’s a practice that can be taught, encouraged, and celebrated.
