In this intensive workshop, participants will learn about screenplay structure, analyse dramatic strategies in film, learn and apply correct script form, and engage in the various stages of original screenwriting. Copy of Qatari passport or Qatar Residence Permit. *Submission Deadline* 29 August, 2015 *Candidate Selection* Candidates whose work shows promise will be shortlisted by the mentor. *Mentors* Will Collins Will Collins is a screenwriter whose credits include the Academy Award-nominated, ‘Song of the Sea’. Collins received an Annie Award nomination for Writing in a Feature Production and an IFTA nomination for Best Film Script for ‘Song of the Sea’. He also wrote ‘My Brothers’, his award-winning live-action feature-length debut, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was the opening film of the Galway Film Fleadh in 2010. Collins won the Pitching Award at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2007 and was nominated for Best Film Script at IFTA in 2011. He graduated from the NUIG Huston School of Film and Digital Media with a Master’s degree in Screenwriting.
