In 1993, a lone passenger on a train dares to confront paramilitary forces during an ethnic cleansing operation, standing against the violence while others remain silent.
On February 27, 1993, a passenger train travelling from Belgrade to Bar was stopped by paramilitary forces in Strpci, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Amidst the chaos of an ethnic cleansing operation, only one man out of 500 passengers stands up against the violence. This short film recounts the true story of a brave individual who could not remain silent in the face of terror, capturing a poignant moment in a tragic chapter of the Bosnian War. Starring Goran Bogdan—an Ajyal Spotlight guest in 2020—the film highlights the strength of moral courage in the darkest of times.
