Saïd, a young man working in a remote field, dreams of escaping his monotonous life with his love, Zineb. But as they plan their escape, Saïd's fears hold him back.
Saïd leads a dull life working desolate fields, longing for a better future with his beloved Zineb. As they plot their escape from the oppressive reality that binds them, Saïd’s inner turmoil and fear of the unknown threaten to keep him trapped in his circumstances. ‘The Scarecrow’ is a compelling drama that portrays the tension between aspiration and fear, reflecting on the courage needed to pursue change in the face of uncertainty.

About the Director

Anas Zemati
Anas Zemati is a Moroccan filmmaker from Guelmim who started his journey into the audiovisual world in 2016. After graduating with a Higher Technical Certificate in Cinema and Audiovisual from Lycée al Layloun, Zemati directed his first film, ‘Guelmim That I Aspire For’. His second project, ‘The Scarecrow’, won the Grand Prize at the Tangier National Film Festival’s School Film Competition. Zemati
