An eye-opening and colourful dive into the teeming coastal waters of Qatar with underwater photographer Faisal Jarkas.
Passionate about photography since his childhood in Syria, Faisal Jarkas now spends his time capturing the immense beauty of Qatar’s coastal waters and the colourful marine life that call it home. Always in a buoyant mood, Faisal shares his best footage from years of dedicated work, for which he was honoured by the Ministry of the Environment in 2021. A short documentary bursting with life and an important environmental message.

About the Director

Fatma Zahra Abderrahim
Fatma Zahra Abderrahim is an M.A journalism graduate in Qatar, a language instructor, documentary filmmaker, and independent radio producer. She is also co-founder of the first online English broadcasting radio for youth in Algeria, a trainer, a voice-over person fluent in five languages—including English, French, and Arabic—and a public speaker for the sustainable development goals.
