In a quest for a forever home, one is lost, another not entirely found. 
It always started with a question about destination, and often times the answer had been indecisive. That’s the case for the non-immigrant Lebanese visual artist whose life has entered limbo following the rejection of his application for a work visa while still in the United States—sending him on a journey to explore existential questions about one’s place in this world, finding a place of belonging and whether art poses the power to express the uncertainty of our times.

About the Director

Ali Hammoud
Born and raised in Kuwait, Ali Hammoud is a Lebanese filmmaker, executive producer and artist. He completed his BA in Communication Arts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since 2001, he has worked as a freelance director and editor for several TV stations, and on documentary films in Lebanon and abroad. In 2009, Hammoud completed his debut short documentary, ‘about those who have gone’,
