As Chief Administrative Officer of Doha Film Institute (DFI) and Deputy Director of Doha Film Festival (DFF), Abdulla Al-Mosallam plays a central role in shaping Qatar's thriving cultural community, helping to guide the Institute's vision, operational execution, and international collaborations.

Through Ajyal and now DFF, Abdulla has been instrumental in building one of the region's most innovative and creative film festivals, a platform that merges compelling cinema, cultural dialogue, and community engagement with a keen focus on empowering underrepresented voices. Through his leadership, DFF continues to grow as a space for stories that truly connect us, challenge perspectives, and encourage shared understanding.

Abdulla is also the founder of Geekdom, DFI's pioneering initiative for gaming, interactive media, and creative tech. The ever-expanding pop-culture phenomenon has championed a new wave of cross-disciplinary collaboration in Qatar, bringing together filmmakers, game developers, designers, and digital creators to explore the future of artistic endeavours. Driven by an innate commitment to nurturing talent and expanding the arts, Abdulla also oversees major DFI initiatives that support professional development, international co-productions, and year-round cultural programming. His work reflects a clear vision: to build platforms that amplify diverse voices and foster a sustainable creative industry in Qatar and the wider region. From cinema to immersive worlds, Abdulla sees the power of storytelling as a catalyst for connection and change. A vision that continues to help position Doha Film Institute as a vital hub for innovation, learning, and creative expression.
