After graduating from the American University of Beirut with a degree in Sociology and Mass Media, he began working as a radio jockey and news anchor for Qatar Broadcasting Corporation and Qatar Television. His filmmaking career started as a fixer for Qatar National Day films, working with companies such as Oxford Television and Serious Pictures, and collaborating directly with H.E. Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali. He later produced several shows for Al Rayyan TV via Rock Wallaby Productions (Ayn Al Shaheen Films), and worked as an assistant director alongside filmmakers including Peter Webber, Romain Gavras, Pierre Deschamps, Sean Ellis and Adrian Moat.

George then joined director Ahmed Al Baker as Chief Production Officer at Medinah Production Company, while also running Innovation Films, producing local commercial content. He went on to Resolution Films as Executive Producer and Head of Business Development, taking on increasingly creative roles. After a brief break, George worked on Peter Webber’s Arab TV series ‘Kingdoms of Fire’ in Tunisia. He later returned to Katara Studios as Senior Producer, contributing to the official music videos for the FIFA World Cup 2022. He is now Head of Creative and Talent Management at Katara Studios.
