The following year, he took on a broader role as Creative Director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. In 2023, he led another ambitious project: ‘The Lost Chapter of Kelileh and Demneh’ for the AFC Asian Cup Opening Ceremony. In 2025, he returns to the FIFA Arab Cup as the Director of its Opening Ceremony, continuing his contribution to the region’s most iconic global stages.
Outside the world of live shows, Ahmed has also built a steady career in film and television. He served as Showrunner and Director on ‘The Pact’ (Roku) and ‘Medinah’ (Starzplay), and produced films like ‘Orca’ along with the football docuseries ‘Chasing Dreams’. Today, he leads Katara Studios as CEO and Executive Producer, developing projects that bring regional stories to life and connect with audiences both at home and internationally.
