Lauren McCarthy is a British art director and set dresser born and raised in the Middle East.

Lauren McCarthy is a British art director and set dresser born and raised in the Middle East.

She graduated with Honours in Documentary Photography from the Bournemouth Arts Institute in 2009 and went on to be named ‘Human Rights Photographer of the Year’ by Qatar Foundation’s Human Rights Organisation in 2010. Shortly thereafter, Lauren made the transition from photography to film and events by establishing Tashkila—a production set design, props, and production servicing company in Qatar.

Since then, she has worked on productions for local and international clients, including Dior, OFF-WHITE, Zenga, FIFA, Qatar Airways, Qatar Creates, Vodafone, Kanye West, Doha Film Institute, COP18, Supreme Committee for Legacy and Delivery, Qatar Museums, and the International Centre for Sports Security, among many others.

Her most recent projects include collaborations with London based, international experiential consultancy and event production facility; Kennedy including the opening of the Qatar Olympic Sports Museum, OFF-WHITE 'Imaginary Dinner', Jeff Koons 'Lost in America' opening dinner, Fashion Trust Arabia gala dinner, and the 2022 Year of Culture gala dinner. At her core, she’s a multi-disciplinary creative with a broad perspective for tackling challenges.
