Doha, Qatar; November 17, 2025: This Doha Film Festival, families can experience the magic of cinema with unique screenings specially curated for film lovers of all ages. From family-friendly outdoor screenings to a Bariq Shorts Programme and cine-concert for kids aged 3 and above, the programme will bring audiences together for an unforgettable experience.

From time-traveling adventures to familial tales and environmental fables, the programme reflects Doha Film Institute's (DFI) commitment to expanding the perspectives and creativity of young minds and nurturing global understanding.

Outdoor screenings programme will be presented through Cinema Under the Stars at the Museum of Islamic Art Park and Cinema by the Sea at West Bay Beach (WBB). The Bariq Shorts Programme and Cine-Concert: Wonderful Explorations programme will take place at Katara Building 16, combining animation with live music to create memorable multisensory experiences.

Outdoor Screenings Programme:

• Time Hoppers: The Silk Road (Canada) by Flordeliza Dayrit is a 3D animated time travel adventure where four gifted children travel back to the historic Silk Road to save great scientists from an evil time-traveling alchemist.
• Home (USA) by Tim Johnson tells the story of Oh, a lovable misfit alien who runs away from his planet and takes shelter on Earth. He befriends Tip, an adventurous young girl on a quest to find her displaced mother Lucy.
• Monkey King: Hero is Back (China, United Kingdom) by Xiaopeng Tian is about the all-powerful Monkey King who was imprisoned for 500 years, but when a child releases him from his curse, the Monkey King must now save an innocent village from the evil Mountain Lord and his monstrous army.

Bariq Shorts Programme:

• A Small Garden by the Window (South Korea) by Lee Jonghoon follows an architect who picks ripe cherry tomatoes from a small garden by the window to pack a lunchbox for work as they head to the frontlines of the climate crisis.
• Mojappi - It's Mine (Japan) by Nijitaro presents the tale of a trio of rascals who set out to steal their friends’ making delicious pancakes, but their plan doesn't go quite as expected.
• Lena's Farm: Full Nest (Germany/Croatia) by Elena Walf is set in a squirrel’s nest warmly padded with stolen goods. When a flood breaks out, forest animals flee to Lena's farm.
• De-Sastre (Spain) by Tommaso Mangiacotti, Marolyn Ávila, Constanza Melio, Maria Antonieta Fernández and Kuang Yi Lee follows Daniela as she begins a new chapter in her new apartment only to discover little creatures of the house dressed in scraps of her clothes.
• MÛ (Germany) by Malin Neumann follows a child accompanied by an otterlike creature who sets out to find a cure for a life-threatening water shortage.

Cine-Concert: Wonderful Explorations includes a performance by Lisa Portelli guiding characters from 4 short films on their quest for adventure:

• Luce and the Rock by Britt Raes (2022)
• Koong Flap Flap by Min Sung Ah (2013)
• Moshi Moshi by Jen Berger (2021)
• Snowflakes and Carrots by Samantha Leriche-Gionet (2010)

Taking place from 20–28 November 2025, Doha Film Festival (DFF) marks the bold next chapter in Doha Film Institute's mission to nurture regional talent and champion urgent and authentic stories in cinema.
