Zaina Bseiso is a filmmaker, educator, and curator whose work explores diasporic notions of return, cinematic acts of solidarity, and articulations of power in the moving image.

Zaina Bseiso is a filmmaker, educator, and curator whose work explores diasporic notions of return, cinematic acts of solidarity, and articulations of power in the moving image.

She is the Senior Programmer at the Points North Institute, Shorts Programmer at the Sundance Institute, and serves on the programming board of the LA Filmforum. As a guest curator, she has collaborated with the Flaherty Seminar, DOXA Documentary Film Festival, and others. In 2019, Bseiso co-founded Bahia Collective, a community of filmmakers committed to collaborative practices and curation. Her first feature film, 'Todo Lo Sólido', is currently in post-production and has received support from Sundance, Sandbox Films, Visions Sud Est, IDFA, and others.
