A graduate of Qatar University with a degree in English Literature and Linguistics, she has contributed significantly to Qatar's film industry through her work with Doha Film Institute since 2013, where she has helped nurture emerging filmmaking talent. Her directorial debut, 'Doctor's Office' (2015), created at the La Fémis Gulf Summer School, was followed by 'The Notebook', which screened at the Ajyal Youth Film Festival 2015 and received a special mention award. Al-Binali's acclaimed short film 'The World Is Not Blue' was made with the support of the Qatar Film Fund. She further advanced her expertise with an MA in Screenwriting from Goldsmiths, University of London, and remains committed to elevating the craft of storytelling throughout the region while supporting the next generation of Qatari filmmakers.
