He has an extensive background in directing, having worked on numerous short films and feature documentaries. Since 2007, Abi-Khalil has been actively involved in producing feature documentaries. A dedicated contributor to the Arab film industry, Jad is a founding member of Aflamuna (previously known as Beirut DC), a cultural association for Arab Cinema. He served as the chairman of its board of directors from 2009 to 2013 and held key positions, including head of its DOCmed training program from 2011 to 2013, Beirut Cinema Platform (BCP) from 2015 to 2020, and Good Pitch from 2018 to 2020. Since 2021, he has assumed the role of Executive Director at Aflamuna.
