He then switched to podcast and audio production at Kerning Cultures Network – working on branded content for the likes of Expo 2020 Dubai and the Museum of Islamic Arts (Qatar) as well as original documentary series. He then worked at Novel (UK based studio) on a branded podcast series for Mailchimp and the award-winning documentary series – The Girlfriends. As an audio nerd with a deep passion for podcasting, Al now is the Co-Founder and Head of Production of Hekayyatna, a studio that focuses on SWANA storytelling and community building. Beyond this, Al enjoys cycling and an unhealthy amount of chocolate. Al is Iraqi by birth, Czech by blood, South African by adolescence, Canadian by education, and Londoner by work experience, based in Spain.
