In collaboration with Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art
About the Workshop
Explore the relationship between image, sound and space in this five-day summer workshop at Mathaf Space.
Led by sound and video artist Joshua Rodenberg, the workshop introduces participants to visual scoring, field recording and sound design. Participants will move beyond traditional musical notation to create abstract visual scores, record sounds from the museum environment, and develop short synchronised audio-visual works.
Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn how visual art, digital tools and environmental sound can come together to shape new forms of creative expression.
Location: Mathaf Space
Dates: 5 – 9 July 2026
Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Fee: Free
Age group: 15 – 18
