The past and present intertwine in a collection of selected stories from the Arab world, where the tales of modern women from different countries intersect with the spirits of females from the past, trapped in their local legends as a source of horror.
'Echoes' is a supernatural drama series where reality is blended with fantasy. Set in contemporary times, the episodes feature an Arab female protagonist whose life takes a terrifying turn as it becomes intertwined with a woman from the past (such as queens, mothers, warriors, children, and widows). These mythical women, often depicted as demons and witches to scare children and control women, return to tell their true stories, breaking free from the depths of the prison that bound their truth. These stories provide a unique window into the past while also ensuring the continuity of Arab women's stories, reshaping them into modern narratives that resonate with today's narratives.
