After October 7th, an online movement redefined the Israeli-Palestinian narrative, using social media to challenge corporate and political interests intent on suppressing the truth.
'Unsettled' explores how the story of Israel-Palestine, long dominated by Western narratives and corporate media, erupted into the global consciousness after the October 7th attacks. What was once confined to diplomatic backrooms and traditional headlines is now on smartphones worldwide. A torrent of raw footage, citizen journalism, and activism has bypassed legacy media, exposing new audiences to on-the-ground horrors and propaganda from all corners. As governments and traditional outlets seek to maintain the status quo, digital activists, journalists, and everyday people challenge the dominant storylines. 'Unsettled' delves into the minds behind the screens: those bearing witness, shaping discourse, and asking uncomfortable questions. It interrogates the stories we've been told, the stories we tell ourselves, and whether this movement can lead us toward justice or deeper into despair.
