After a long and arduous journey, Moe Al Thani attempts his last climb solo in an effort to become the first Qatari to achieve mountaineering’s coveted “Grand Slam” title. His North Pole expedition pushes him far beyond his comfort zone, allowing him to truly discover his inner voice and deep connection with nature.
This film follows the journey of Moe Al Thani on his quest to climb Carstensz Pyramid, the final summit in his historic Undisputed 9. Closed for years due to conflict, the mountain symbolizes both a challenging obstacle and a deeply personal test of will. The documentary weaves together a story of perseverance, the thrill of exploration, and the pursuit of personal triumph, all set against rare, hidden places and the rich culture of the region. Ghouna Jaber is a Palestinian independent producer and media manager for the Qatar Sport and Olympic Museum, who is living in Qatar. Since 2005, she has been working in the film and broadcasting sectors, gaining broad experience in film and media production. Her experience in different sectors of film production, starting from producing short films to being part of local film festivals, allowed her to acquire tangible skills within a multicultural environment. Ghouna produced four short films that screened and were nominated in more than ten film festivals and won several awards. Ghouna focuses on topics surrounding human struggle.
