A family takes their grandmother to nine temples in one day, hoping to prolong her life. Throughout the day, their relationships are tested.
After a fortune teller predicts that his elderly mother may soon die, Sakol embarks on a one-day pilgrimage to nine temples to ward off the curse. He takes his ailing mother, as well as his wife, brother, sister and children, on this journey into the heart of the splendours of Thai temple architecture.

Sompot Chidgasornpongse holds a master’s degree in Film/Video from the California Institute of the Arts. His short films have been screened at numerous international festivals. He has also worked closely with Apichatpong Weerasethakul as an assistant director on several films, including ‘Tropical Malady’, ‘Syndromes and a Century’, ‘Cemetery of Splendour’ and ‘Memoria’.
