International Short Films Programme 1: Ways to Weather
International Short Film Competition

In a wintry Chinese city under quiet surveillance, a caregiver’s search for a vanished elderly woman blurs into a haunting journey.
Amid tightening surveillance and the erasure of marginalised lives in China, an elderly woman disappears during a harsh winter, sending her caregiver, Lin, on an urgent search. As she investigates deeper, the lines between herself and the mystery begin to blur. Drawing her into a journey that intertwines her fate with the vanishing she seeks to resolve; the film is a haunting meditation on control and fragile human connection.
