A 13-year-old overweight boy sets out to befriend the neighbourhood’s most popular kid. But his relentless attempts leave him vulnerable to unexpected ridicule, stirring unresolved feelings.
A coming-of-age film about 13-year-old Zizou, an overweight boy who spends most of his time on the sidelines with his only friend, Magdy. Eager to fit in, Zizou repeatedly tries to connect with the neighbourhood’s popular kid, Zaki, efforts that often end in humiliation. When Zaki unexpectedly turns his attention to Magdy, tensions rise and Zizou must confront his own insecurities and the fragile bonds of friendship.

Khaled Moeit
Khaled Moeit is a Cairo-based filmmaker whose debut short Major Tom (2017) won Best Debut at the Egyptian National Cinema Center. His later works, including 'One Frame Per Raid Siren' (2019) and 'Crocodile Tears' (2023), received international recognition.
