When a teenager refuses the path chosen for her, she slips into a mysterious slumber that unsettles her family, turning defiance into a dreamlike struggle between freedom and control.
When 15-year-old Diamant refuses her family’s plans for marriage, she falls into a sleep so deep it becomes both a mystery and a quiet mutiny. Bewildered doctors find no answers, and as her family tries desperately to wake her from her slumber, their home is consumed by fire. A fable of resistance and resilience, this visually striking work explores personal rebellion and the power of dreams to reimagine the external boundaries imposed by culture and control.
