Abu Salma, a seasonal worker in Northern Sudan, spends his days labouring in a brickyard and his nights secretly erecting a structure out of mud in secret. When his creation mysteriously disappears, strange occurrences begin to take place and he starts to get the uneasy feeling that someone or something is watching him.
Sudan, near the Merowe Dam. Maher works in a traditional brickyard fed by the waters of the Nile. Every evening, he secretly wanders off into the desert to build a mysterious construction made of mud. While the Sudanese people rise to claim their freedom, his creation starts to take a life of its own…

Ali Cherri
Ali Cherri, born in Beirut and based in Paris, is a multidisciplinary visual artist and filmmaker. His works, often blending video, film, sculpture, and installation, explore the construction of historical narratives.
