Maysaa Almumin
Maysaa Almumin was born in Kuwait, lived in the UK, and currently resides in Qatar. She is the writer, director, and producer of several short films, including ‘...And I Am Left Behind’, which was made in participation with Rithy Panh’s Doha Film Institute Documentary Lab in 2021, and ‘J’ai le Cafard’ (Bint Werdan), which was awarded production grants from the Arab Fund for Art and Culture and the

Eiman Mirghani

Eiman Mirghani is a Sudanese filmmaker based in Qatar. Upon graduating with a BA in Film and Media Studies from the University of Nottingham, Eiman has worked on numerous short films in the MENA region as a director and producer. She is the founder and senior producer of FilmMENA, a film production house dedicated to assisting and elevating filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa. In 2021, Eiman was one of the producers of the short Sudanese film ‘Al-Sit’, which received numerous accolades at international film festivals and became Academy Award-qualified. Eiman’s second short film, ‘The Bleaching Syndrome’, was directed under the mentorship of world-renowned filmmaker Rithy Panh and has travelled to several international film festivals. She is currently under Rithy Panh’s mentorship once more, as part of the Doha Film Institute’s Documentary Lab Fellowship, to direct her latest short film, ‘Villa 187’.
