In Mohammedia, Simo, a young fisherman, sees the moon crack in two. From now on, the world is also split in two—between those who are asleep and can't wake up, and those who are watching over them.
In Mohammedia, Morocco, Simo is a young man juggling several jobs to make a modest living with his mother, Houria, who draws henna tattoos on passers-by and is known locally as a healer. One evening, while fishing along the coastal road, the earth trembles—and an unprecedented phenomenon occurs: before his very eyes, the moon splits in two like torn fabric. After this apocalyptic night, the world has changed. Each day, more people begin falling into a mysterious, never-ending sleep—a kind of hibernation no one can explain. Simo discovers one of the sleepers at the Zenata eco-city construction site, where he works as a night watchman. He begins to care for the man, and over time, a strange connection develops. Simo realises he can enter the man’s dreams as he sleeps.
