However, a sudden, unsettling event brings unfamiliar guests into their home, altering the harmony she once knew. As Guddal navigates these changes, her understanding of family and life begins to evolve. ‘Sour Candy’ is a poignant exploration of childhood innocence, capturing the emotional complexities of loss, confusion, and growth.

Nishi Dugar
Nishi Dugar is a filmmaker and cinematographer from Jaipur, India. She studied Cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia from Saint Xavier's College, Kolkata. A member of the Indian Women Cinematographer’s Collective, Nishi has been fascinated by films since childhood. She began exploring photography and cinema with a desire to
