When two estranged brothers return to their childhood island, long-buried secrets resurface. Bound by memory and guilt, they must confront a dark past that neither can escape.
On a remote Mediterranean island, two brothers return to face the ghosts of their shared past. Their childhood sanctuary has become a landscape of memory and regret, where love and betrayal intertwine. Marking the directorial debut of acclaimed Palestinian actor Tawfeek Barhom, ‘I’m Glad You’re Dead Now’ is a haunting meditation on brotherhood, trauma, and reconciliation. Winner of the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film at Cannes Film Festival 2025, the film signals a bold new cinematic voice.
