When war breaks out in Lebanon, a young filmmaker in Paris starts recording on her phone, making a visual diary of exile from a homeland collapsing on screen.
When war breaks out in Lebanon, a young filmmaker in Paris starts recording on her phone, making a visual diary of exile from a homeland collapsing on screen.
In autumn 2024, having left Beirut for Paris, a filmmaker watches Lebanon fall under constant bombardment from the far side of her phone. Barely able to leave her bed, she records her screen for a month. Instagram posts, WhatsApp messages, voice notes and daily calls to her father, a poet. When no image seems worthy of his words, the screen goes black. What began as survival becomes a refusal to let a country scroll past and disappear.
