Marie flees with her children to reunite with her husband in exile. Struggling with displacement, she chooses to return home to southern Lebanon, risking everything to reclaim her life.
Pregnant with her third child, Marie faces an urgent choice, stay in her homeland, separated from her husband Khalil, or escape with her children and reunite her family. She manages to flee, but life in exile is disorienting. Marie gives birth, and her husband finds work in garbage collection. The question of returning home surfaces, a possibility that had not existed before. Khalil knows what awaits him, but Marie insists. Back home, Marie rebuilds her life, and through routine and resolve, she finds a fragile but real freedom.
