In Buenos Aires, Yoni hustles with mentor León to clinch a deal; distrust and ‘blind loyalty’ tighten until survival collides with self-respect.
Across a single day, a hustler with few resources tries to close a decisive deal while suspecting the partner who taught him the game. The city’s rhythm dictates the form: galloping edits, claustrophobic close-ups, and an off-screen world that presses in through sound. Pride and necessity pull in opposite directions. When the plan falters, the choice is stark. Secure a place by any means or protect the last thing he owns: how he sees himself.

Tomás Murphy (Buenos Aires, 1986) is a director, screenwriter and editor. His debut short ‘Compraventa (The Look of Glass)’ premiered at IndieLisboa 2025 and competed at the 53rd Huesca Ibero-American Short Film Competition. He co-wrote and edited ‘Simon of the Mountain’ (dir. Federico Luis), winner of the Grand Prize at Cannes Critics’ Week 2024. He previously edited ‘La Siesta’ (Cannes 2019; TIF
