A young boy is fascinated by hedgehogs. Learning every fact he can about his prickly friends, he talks about them at any opportunity. From class presentations to lunchtime breaks, he does not let a moment pass without imparting one of his many pieces of hedgehog trivia to whoever is in earshot. The boy's affinity with the famously defensive creature, however, comes from a deeply troubling place.
