A little girl is fascinated by a hole she finds in the ground – but if holes won’t play games, what are they good for? A crop of pretty flowers soon answers the question!
A young girl finds a hole in the ground and is absolutely thrilled… but it soon turns out that holes aren’t very good at playing games, and they don’t pay much attention to tea parties with dolls. But what is a hole for if not to grow pretty flowers? Once she discovers this very enticing property, she finds there is enjoyment to be had time and time again! Beautifully animated, ‘A Hole’ teaches the joys of the miracle of life.

About the Director

Maribel Suárez
Maribel Suárez studied Industrial Design at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, before attaining her Master's in Design Research at the Royal College of Art, London. As well as being a filmmaker, Suárez has been a prolific children's book editor and illustrator since 1985.
