In the valley villages of the northern border of Xinjiang, a lonely Kazakh boy named Arsin is obsessed with plants. Through his fascination with the plant world, he recounts memories of his nomadic family in contemporary times. By chance, he meets a Han girl named Meiyu, whose unpredictable character is like a seabed plant he has never seen before. As they spend time together, they develop a vague yet intimate affection for each other. Amidst the ambiguous changes in reality, their connection feels like a hallucinatory sleepwalk in the world of plants.
