When Mounira impulsively decides to clear out a dusty room, Sita, the longtime housekeeper, secretly searches through the packed belongings to retrieve a treasured keepsake before it’s lost forever.
A once-lived-in room, layered with dust and forgotten belongings, is about to be emptied. ‘Gharbalah’ unfolds as Sita, the longtime housekeeper, is unexpectedly drawn into Mounira’s impulsive decision to erase the past. Tasked with sorting and packing, Sita soon realises that a precious item is missing and quietly sets out to recover it. As she discreetly searches through the clutter, tensions rise between the two women, exposing the heavy weight of memory, unspoken emotions, and a shared yet unrecognised grief.
