In a small mosque, we meet Fahad and his grandfather, the Imam. Fahad has a black eye and wants nothing more than to avoid conflict and questioning from his family. Set in modern Qatar, Fahad’s conservative family lack the communication skills required to have open discussions and are instead forced to create their own narratives and assumptions about what Fahad is really doing at night.

Justin Kramer
Justin Kramer is an American director–producer based in Qatar. He began in New York, founding Elwood Gentry Productions and working with HBO, MTV, CNN, VH1 and AMC. In 2009, he joined Doha Film Institute, mentoring emerging filmmakers, and later co-founded The Film House.
