What is a ‘home’? This programme of international short films questions the concept, exploring its challenges and its relevance to our lives today.
‘Scrambled’ pairs up the tactile joys of the Rubik’s Cube with the whiz-bang of contemporary video games to demonstrate that the skills from both kinds of play are of great value.
While waiting for her train, a woman plays a game on her phone, oblivious to the world around her – until a mischievous puzzle grabs her attention. In these days of mobile connectivity, the “simpler” puzzles of the past are often remembered with nostalgia. In ‘Scrambled’, however, the tactile joys of the Rubik’s Cube are paired up with the whiz-bang of contemporary video games to demonstrate that the skills gained from both kinds of play are of great value.
