Seven-year-old Zeina roams the hills that surround her village on a rusty bike. She is determined to stop the bulldozers that are coming to tear down her home.
Zeina roams the hills surrounding her village on a rusty bike, searching for any sign of the bulldozers coming to demolish her home. Whenever she spots a construction vehicle—no matter how big or small, far or close—she cries: “Bulldozer! Bulldozer!” Zeina is not mischievous, but anxious to alert her family and neighbours to the impending danger.
Her vigilance, however, leads to false alarms that put her at odds with others. She remains defiant in the face of mockery from older kids. Adults excuse her behaviour, believing she is understandably scared. But the seven-year-old insists she is anything but. One night, Zeina takes her bike for a ride. What begins as a daring nighttime adventure turns into a nightmare when she suddenly finds herself caught in the headlights of a bulldozer.
